Sysadmins: Come to PICC, April 29-30, 2011!

The New Jersey chapter of the League of Professional System Administrators (LOPSA) is pleased to announce that the 2011 Professional IT Community Conference (PICC, April 29-30, 2011) is now accepting registrations on its website, http://www.picconf.org.

PICC11 Program Chair, Matt Simons, commented, “I’m extremely excited about PICC again this year. We’ve got an impressive selection of papers and talks. I think system administrators with all kinds of backgrounds will gain from attending.”

The PICC conference is geared to system administrators in the northeast United States, but got visitors last year from as far away as western Pennsylvania and Maryland. The conference is a volunteer effort by LOPSA members to promote the growth of a local sysadmin community.

William Bilancio, executive director of PICC and chairman of the LOPSA educational committee, said, “This is the second year for PICC, and we’ve improved the offerings. We’re offering eight training selections on Friday, and we’ve doubled the number of training classes available on Saturday! Whether you administer Windows or Linux (or something else!), you stand to learn a lot by attending.”

The two-day conference begins on Friday, April 29th and ends Saturday evening. An Early Bird discounted registration is available until April 4th. Two registration options are available, with the conference being $324, and conference + training only $574 (or $449 with the Early Bird discount). All prices include dinner on Friday, Lunch on Saturday, and a one-year membership to LOPSA.
