How to make nutrition information labels more accurate

Boxes of cookies, no matter how small or large, should be required to list, "Serving size: one box"

My favorite is when something that is OBVIOUSLY being marketed as a single serving product (small bags of chips, etc.) list more than one serving in the nutrition info. I read something the other day saying that there is a movement to adjust nutrition info to list more realistic serving sizes, starting with things like cereal. (Who eats 1 ounce of cereal? Let's be for real here.)

If I recall, Coca-Cola's "Just One Calorie" campaign for Diet Coke was based on defining one can as two servings.

Yeah. If I'm not careful, I can eat half a box of Captain Crunch during the not-enough-milk vs. not-enough-cereal balancing act.

I don't have a huge issue with cookies. Ice cream on the other hand... DOOM.

Yes, I agree. Chips Ahoy! is 3-4 servings, but a pint of Ben & Jerry's is only 1.

Me, too. I can eat a "serving" of cookies, but I'm not done with ice cream til I'm scraping the bottom.
