EmacsOS

If ChromeOS is “just enough Linux to run a web browser”, what would be needed to run Emacs?

I used to joke that some people run their SunOS workstations in /vmunix.el. Now, I fear it will be true.

Being an old Emacs type, I always liked this variant: "Emacs would be a great operating system if it just had a decent text editor."

Maybe they can put just enough UNIX in the Chrome browser so it will be available on MacOS.

I use the dev version of Mac Chrome and it's pretty good so far.

We have publically committed to a Mac beta (or better, I can't recall) in Q4.

Give the dev release a try!

Most excellent, I shall give it a whirl.
